After years of planning and 50 million dollars of investment, The Bicycle Hotel and Casino finally unveiled its boutique luxury hotel with a flashy ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 18th.
PCA invited more than 30 Asian media partners to cover the celebration featuring Governor Jerry Brown and about 500 VIP guests including business and government leaders. Newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations from Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese communities came out to support PCA’s efforts of spreading the news of this groundbreaking event.
A James Bond-like theme kicked off the festivities as men dressed in tuxedos whizzed past the crowd with models in tow. PCA staff led media tours of the seven-story facility that features 99 luxurious rooms including a 2,007 sq. ft. presidential suite. The venue, located 10 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, also opened the Bike Brewery with craft beers made exclusively for that location.
PCA focused on The Bicycle Hotel and Casino’s efforts to cater to its Asian customers. The hotel management consulted with a Feng Shui master during construction. The Hotel Spa features massages such as Reflexology that derive from ancient Chinese technique. The hotel staff can speak various Asian languages to accommodate guests who prefer speaking in their native tongue. The creation of this hotel brings more than 100 permanent new jobs to the city of Bell Gardens.
